MILAN – Coffee production of Indonesia may reach 9.7m 60kg bags in 2012/13, up 13% from the previous year, according to a survey of six dealers and analysts led by Reuters.
This compares with ICO’s estimate of 8.62m bags for CY 2011/12. The rising demand from local roasters is likely to boost consumption and push up imports.
Domestic consumption in Indonesia is currently estimated at 3.3m bags.
